A Year in the South Chilterns

Sonning as the sun goes down

Article text
I visited the same stretch of the Thames both in the early morning and late afternoon over a period of two days. Last week's photograph was taken in the morning on a beautiful cold but clear day and this photo was taken just before 4pm on the same day. Although there was no breeze the slight movement of the water created not quite mirror-like but interesting reflections, which I liked. The bunches of mistletoe high up in the trees were also reflected and I think add some interest.
