Tinges of Autumn

Walking a stretch of the Chiltern Way this weekend I noticed the first signs that Autumn is on the way. Swallows were swooping and circling and then congregating on some power lines, the hedgerows were full of berries, hips and haws and the bracken was beginning to colour. I liked the autumn colours on this bracken frond, in particular the coppery brown before the fronds dessicate and curl
